CADS Enhancement Centre
Curriculum
- We aim to provide a curriculum which is coherent, broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated. English is the medium of instruction.
- We emulate the National Curriculum on Special Education Needs with additional subjects such as computer lessons, solat and hafazan of quranic verses and doa for the muslims. In addition, we have chosen silat as our co-curriculum uniform body. We also encourage our students to give oral presentations as in ‘show and tell’ during Monday morning assembly to instill confidence and enhance oratory skills at an early age. We also plan educational visits and outdoor learning, social skills and living skills as part and parcel of the curriculum.
- We believe that children should be involved in their learning and have an understanding not just of what they are learning but also of why they are learning. This is observed from the project presentation, a joint assignment of parent and child which also culminates parental involvement and bonding.
- Occupational Therapy and speech therapy is incorporated in each child’s remedial programme.
Facilities
Classrooms, gym, library, science lab cum workroom, occupational therapy room, solat area, sickbay, computer lab, kitchen, staff room, administrative office, dining area and play field.

- Meals are free from preservatives, artificial coloring, monosodium glutamate, white sugar, sweetener, yeast, oil and carbonated drinks.
- Meals prepared are either boiled, steamed, roasted, grilled or baked.
- Any child who has any religious or medical restriction with certain food, should notify the centre upon entry.
Parental / Family Involvement
- It is the Centre’s policy to work closely with parents in order to help their children, both to achieve their potential and overcome their learning difficulties.
- The Centre has an open door policy to encourage parents to visit. Parents are seen as essential partners with staff in creating a rewarding and stimulating environment for children. Parents are however asked to make an appointment if they wish to discuss their child’s progress with teachers.
- Parents are actively encouraged to attend all Term Review Meetings, Parent Sharing Moments, Workshops and Seminars conducted by the Centre.
- Parents are also encouraged to observe similar meal management in their homes.
